Ionone beta is the sweetest of the ionones, having aspects of red berries, tropical fruit and beeswax. It is the chemical that plays the biggest role in giving Boronia its wonderful scent and is indispensable in recreations of the same. It serves a minor role in many other florals and is valuable as a nuancer for wood blends.
